Drug Awareness Outreach Programme 29th & 30th April 2026
The Anti-Drug Committee of RKMV Shimla successfully organized a Drug Sensitization Lecture Series under its Student Outreach Programme on 29th and 30th April 2026.
The programme aimed to spread awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse, promote emotional well-being, and encourage a healthy and substance-free lifestyle.
The initiative was conducted under the able guidance of the Principal, Dr Anurita Saxena, whose constant support and vision played a crucial role in its successful implementation.
The lecture series was delivered by Mr. Esh Sharma, a life coach, mindfulness practitioner, and sobriety mentor. His sessions were highly encouraging, informative, and interactive, focusing on awareness, mindfulness, and empowerment. During the lecture he stated, “The brain is the employee of your soul, emphasising that the mind works according to the thoughts and affirmations we feed into it. He discussed how habitual questioning, affirmations, and Neuro-Linguistic techniques can help develop self-control and confidence.
The programme was conducted across multiple institutions including RKMV Shimla, GSSS Lakkar Bazar, GSSS Sanjauli, COE Sanjauli, and GSSS Lal Pani, covering a wide range of students through a well-planned schedule.
The Drug Sensitization and Awareness Outreach Programme commenced from RKMV Shimla.
The session1 was conducted at RKMV Shimla, Session 2 at GSSS Lakkar Bazar and Session 3 at GSSS Sanjauli on Day 1( 29th April 2026) of the Outreach Programme.
The Outreach Sessions continued with the same spirit and commitment on Day 2 ( 30th April 2026).
The second day of the programme began with Session1 at GSSC Sanjauli, Session 2 was conducted at COE Sanjauli and Session3 at GSSS Lal Pani.
The resource person, Mr. Esh Sharma was accompanied by Dr. Jitender Thakur and Dr. Devender Sharma who actively coordinated and ensured the smooth conduct of all sessions.
It was a meaningful and impactful outreach initiative reinforcing the collective responsibility of educational institutions in sensitizing and protecting young minds.
