RKMV Scholarships

For the Session 2024-25 Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya has introduced three new scholarship schemes to empower and support talented and needy students from diverse backgrounds to pursue higher education and achieve their academic and career aspirations. By providing financial assistance, mentorship, and community support, the program aims to break down barriers to education and foster future leaders who will make a positive impact on their communities and society as a whole.

Shrimati Nidhi Lakhanpal Jyoti Memorial Scholarships

‘Smt Nidhi Lakhanpal Jyoti Memorial Scholarships’ have been started in memory of Smt Nidhi Jyoti who was an ex- student of RKMV (1991-1993) by her husband Sh. Anil Jyoti and her daughters. These are 11 Merit-cum-Means Undergraduate Scholarships for the students of the college.

Smt Nidhi Jyoti was a student of Music and Economics. Her stint at RKMV marked her journey as a student to becoming an Economics Professor. She was a passionate sitar player, and above all, an advocate for women’s rights and their education and always propagated women to be independent and explore their full potential.

This scholarship is a wonderful way to honour her legacy by supporting deserving students who align with her values and aspirations.

  • • These Scholarships shall be given to a total of 11 students of RKMV..
  • • One Scholarship for the final year student of Economics.
  • • One Scholarship for the final year student of Music.
  • • One Scholarship for the student of the year from Arts Stream (IIIrd Year)
  • • One Scholarship for the student of the year from Science Stream (IIIrd Year)
  • • One Scholarship for the student of the year from Commerce Stream (IIIrd Year)

  • • Four scholarships will be given to the physically challenged student or for the EWS categories (IInd year only).

RKMV Merit Based Scholarships

Merit-Based college scholarship will be awarded to students of Second and Final Year based on their academic achievements of First and Second Year. These scholarships will recognize and reward students for their hard work and dedication to their studies.

RKMV Need Based Scholarships

Need-based scholarships have been designed by Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya in the current session 2024-25. These scholarships aim to alleviate the financial burden of purchasing syllabus books, which can be a significant expense for students. By providing access to necessary educational resources, these scholarships aim to bridge the financial gap, enabling talented students who lack the necessary financial resources to access higher education.

RKMV Learn and Earn Internship

Learn and Earn Internship programme will be introduced in the Session 2024-25 to provide financial assistance to students who exhibit academic excellence, leadership potential, extracurricular activities, volunteer work and a commitment to community service. These internships typically offer students the opportunity to work part-time while pursuing their studies. Learn and Earn internships provide students with a source of income to help cover tuition fees, living expenses, and other educational costs. They shall be offered in each subject and in clubs and societies subject to their selection to the internship program.
