Celebrating 79th Independence Day 15th August, 2025
RKMV celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great pride and enthusiasm. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Anurita Saxena, Principal of the college, who warmly congratulated the students on the occasion.
The college campus was adorned with national flags, creating an atmosphere of patriotic exhilaration. The girls were upbeat especially as the national flags were made by the boarders of Tribal Hostel. The celebration resonated with patriotic songs, slogans, and heartfelt speeches that echoed across the premises.
Dr. Anurita Saxena ignited the patriotic fervour by raising slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and ;Vande Mataram. She also used the opportunity to inspire students to lead a life of integrity and devotion towards the nation like our great soldiers and freedom fighters. Further she urged all to value life and make wise choices by advocating a strong stand against drug use.
Students of the Indira Gandhi Tribal Hostel, RKMV Shimla presented a vibrant performance of Kinnauri Nati, which showcased the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh. Their energetic and graceful dance won the hearts of the audience, who applauded them wholeheartedly. In recognition of their commendable performance, the group was awarded certificates of appreciation along with a cash prize of ₹5000.
