Skill development is a major priority of the Government of India and a key instrument for empowerment. RKMV under the aegis of The Himachal Pradesh Skill Development Project (HPSDP) is offering the following two courses:
• Merchandising
Merchandising is are source which is suitable for both exports led company and for the domestic fashion or non-fashion companies.
• The EEE (English Employability and Entrepreneurship)
EEE is a skill development programmecertifiedbythesectorskillcouncilMEPSC-ManagementandEntrepreneurshipand Professional Skill Council. The Himachal Pradesh KaushalVikas Nigam implemented this programme for training Final year students to achieve the following outputs- Enhance English speakingskillsand holistic development ofstudents, understandingthe coreskills of employability, understandingthe coreskills for entrepreneurship, aligned skill trainingin English,Employability and Entrepreneurship for 120 enrolledfinal candidates to to facilitate their transition in to varied careers.
Value Added and Enterpreneurship Program
Value Added Programmes are extra courses that help students acquire more skills and gain knowledge. The programmes will help students to connect the knowledge acquired with real life situations, making them more advantageous for the job market. The college offers a wide variety of short term certificate courses which will be conducted after class hours or during semester breaks. The duration of each course will be of 30 hours with 2 credits each.

The college also encourages the students to enhance knowledgethrough online courses under 'SWAYAM' portal which includes courses offered by NPTEL, UGC, INI, CEC, IIMB and other coordinating institutes.
