RKMV Celebrates 'Daan Utsav' – The Festival of Joy of Giving 08th October 2025
IQAC RKMV, along with Eco Club and NSS, celebrated Daan Utsav 2025 with great enthusiasm and compassion on 8th October 2025, along with the rest of India.
The celebrations included the following activities:
A lecture by renowned social worker, Shri Sarbjeet Singh Bobby, who inspired students and staff by sharing his personal experiences and reflections on the true joy of giving.
A fund collection drive, through which staff and students raised ₹37,000 to support various philanthropic initiatives of RKMV. Out of this, ₹21,000 was donated to the NGO Almighty Blessings to sponsor langar for patients’ attendants and other needy individuals at IGMC, Shimla.
Several members of the staff and student community also performed seva by personally distributing lunch at the langar.
On 6th October 2025, as part of the ongoing tradition, staff and students together had prepared 500+ chapattis for the langar. This noble activity has been a regular practice of RKMV every Monday for the past eight years
