Diwali Mela 2025: A Celebration of Light, Culture, and Sustainability

On 17th October 2025, our college campus radiated with festive cheer and vibrant energy as students and staff came together to celebrate Diwali in a truly meaningful and memorable way. The day was a harmonious blend of tradition, joy, and environmental consciousness, reflecting the essence of the festival of lights.

The celebrations began with a warm and insightful address by our esteemed Principal, Dr. Anurita Saxena, who spoke about the cultural richness of Diwali and its five auspicious days and ;Dhanteras, Chhoti Diwali, Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Bhai Dooj. Her words inspired everyone to embrace the values and stories behind these traditions, fostering a deeper connection to our heritage.

Adding to the festive spirit, the campus was adorned with colorful decorations, lively stalls, and cheerful activities. Students showcased their creativity through beautifully crafted diyas, decorative items, and engaging games that brought smiles to all. In a thoughtful gesture promoting health and well-being, the AYUSH Department distributed medicinal plants like Tulsi, Ashwagandha, Jamun, and Lemongrass—encouraging everyone to stay rooted in nature and holistic living.

A highlight of the day was the Diwali Mela Exhibition – Green Creations for a Sustainable Future, organized by the Department of Environment Science. Students from diverse academic streams—B.Sc., B.Com., B.Voc., BCA, B.A., and Microbiology & Biotechnology—presented innovative projects focused on environmental sustainability. Through project-based learning, they transformed discarded materials into stunning eco-friendly products such as organic soaps, handcrafted décor, fabric bags, foot mats, and potted plants. The exhibition not only celebrated creativity and responsible consumption but also received enthusiastic support from faculty members who purchased these sustainable items for their Diwali festivities.

Together, these celebrations illuminated the campus with joy, unity, and a shared commitment to cultural values and environmental stewardship. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this Diwali Mela a truly unforgettable experience.

Wishing you all a Happy, Safe, and Sustainable Diwali!
