The HP University Inter-College Taekwondo Championship (Men and Women) commenced on 6th November 2025 with a grand opening ceremony inaugurated by Sh. Harish Janartha, Hon’ble MLA (Shimla Urban), and graced by Ms. Uma Kaushal, Deputy Mayor, MC Shimla, along with other distinguished guests. Principal Dr. Anurita Saxena welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the values of Taekwondo ;respect, perseverance, and self-control;that align with the institution's vision of holistic education. The Chief Guest encouraged students to embrace sportsmanship, discipline, and physical fitness before declaring the championship open. The event saw spirited participation from 22 colleges and 127 students across Himachal Pradesh, showcasing grit, determination, and camaraderie amidst enthusiastic cheers.

The championship concluded successfully on 7th October 2025 with a closing ceremony presided over by Padma Shri Ajay Thakur, DSP Una and a renowned Kabaddi player. Dr. Saxena lauded his achievements and urged students to pursue their passions with discipline and dedication. In his address, Ajay Thakur advised students to value time, choose friends with shared goals, dream big, and use mobile phones wisely. The ceremony culminated with the distribution of prizes and medals to the winners, celebrated in the presence of dignitaries, technical officials, and observers, marking the event as a memorable success.
