Annual Exhibition "Manthan" 10th to 16th November,2025
Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya, in collaboration with the Mahsu Art Society (a non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting aspiring artists), organized " Manthan, annual Exhibition 2025, an Entrepreneurship Programme for former and current students of the Department of Painting, RKMV. The event is being held at Tavern Hall, Gaiety Theatre, Shimla, from 10th to 16th November 2025 and is curated by Dr. Bhader Singh, Assistant Professor of Art at RKMV.
The exhibition aims to help emerging artists grow and establish themselves in the professional world of art. It was inaugurated at 4 PM on 10 November 2025 by Sh. Anupam Kishore, Regional Director (Shimla) of the Reserve Bank of India, in the presence of the guests of honour, Dr. Anurita Saxena (Principal), Prof. I. D. Sharma, and Prof. Ritu Sharma. Prior to the exhibition, an Entrepreneurship Programme was also organized as a preparatory initiative to build creative skills, self-reliance, and professional awareness among students of RKMV. The sessions focused on
->Practical aspects of the art profession - potential buyers, art enthusiasts, curators, and gallery owners.
->Presenting artworks effectively in a gallery setting.
->Identifying works suitable for professional exhibitions.
The exhibition showcased the works of six artists of Mahsu Art Society: Sushma Sharma, Susmita Rai, Jamuna Gurung, Komal Yadav, Ruchika, and Nisha, along with eleven students of RKMV: Kiran Kumari, Priyanka Sharma, Anisha Sharma, Muskan, Sneha Sista, Sakshi, Jyotsna, Kritika, Muskan Negi, Swati, and Preet. Together, their artworks offer a vibrant expression of emotions, Himachali culture and traditions, nature, flora, fauna, and human experiences. The range of styles extends from realism to abstraction, and the mediums include oil, acrylic, charcoal, and watercolour. More than one hundred paintings are on display, with prices ranging from ₹2,500 to ₹55,000.
