Awareness Program by the Road Safety Club 13th November 2025
The Road Safety Club of RKMV Shimla organised a rally and nukkad natak on 13th November 2025 to spread the message of road safety.
The rally, flagged off by the worthy Principal Dr Anurita Saxena, commenced from the college premises and proceeded to the Mall Road, Shimla. The participants, comprising 82 students and faculty members, marched through the busy streets, raising awareness about road safety rules and regulations.
The nukkad natak was performed at four different locations, namely Lakkar Bazar, the amphitheatre near Gaiety Theatre, Rotary Plaza and Sports Complex. The play highlighted the importance of traffic rules, golden hour and safe road behaviour to avoid accidents.
The event aimed to educate the public, especially the youth, about the importance of road safety and the consequences of reckless driving.
Prof. Geeta Sharma, Convener of the Road Safety Club, along with Dr Vinay Mohan, Dr Gita Sharma, Dr Nishtha, Dr Reenu, Dr Jitender, Dr Nisha, and Dr Devender Sharma, accompanied the students and participated in the event. Road Safety Club of RKMV is committed to spreading awareness about road safety and promoting responsible driving habits.</p>
