Anti-Chitta Awareness Programme 15th November,2025
The NCC Unit of Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV) actively participated in an Anti-Chitta Awareness Programme organised by the Himachal Pradesh Government Police on 15th November 2025. The event aimed to spread awareness about the growing threat of Chitta, a harmful synthetic drug affecting the youth and society at large.
The programme began with an inaugural address by Chief Minister Mr Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, who highlighted the rising cases of drug abuse in the state and stressed the need for collective responsibility to combat the issue. He encouraged students and NCC cadets to take a strong stand against drugs, spread awareness in their communities, and act as ambassadors of a drug-free Himachal.
The NCC cadets of RKMV, under the guidance of ANO Major Dr Luxmi, participated in the awareness activities with great enthusiasm. They took part in the rally, carried informative placards, and raised slogans promoting a drug-free society. The cadets also interacted with the public, explaining the harmful effects of drugs on health, family life, and the future of the youth.
The programme concluded with a pledge ceremony where all participants vowed to stay away from drugs and contribute towards building a healthier and safer society.
