District level AIDS Awareness Training Workshop 25th November,2025
Rajkiya Kanya Maha Vidyalaya hosted a one-day district-level training workshop on 25 November, bringing together Red Ribbon Club members from various educational institutions across Shimla district
Principal Dr. Anurita Saxena inaugurated the workshop with an inspiring address, encouraging students to actively participate in health and awareness initiatives.
The sessions were led by Ms. Kritika (Assistant Director, HPSACS), who served as the Guest Trainer for the day.>
Session 1 focused on general awareness about HIV/AIDS, including prevention, myths & facts, and the importance of using official helplines and verified social media platforms for accurate information.
Session 2 emphasized the various activities and responsibilities that Red Ribbon Clubs should carry out within their institutions to promote health awareness and community engagement.
Mr. Rakesh Bhardwaj (LT, DDU Hospital) was also present to support the event.
The workshop concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Laxmi Sindhu (Convener, RRC). The event was efficiently coordinated by RRC members Dr. Preeti Saluja, Ms. Varsha, and Ms. Lakshita.
