The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) organised an HIV/AIDS awareness program on 8th December. The session was facilitated by Dr Yashpal Ranta, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and DAPO, and had Ms Ramender Sharma, Master Trainer and ICTC Counsellor from DDU, as the guest speaker.

Ms Ramender Sharma spoke extensively on the key themes of awareness, prevention, and zero discrimination related to HIV/AIDS. She shared insights and real-life experiences from her interactions with youth, helping students understand accurate information about HIV/AIDS and the social stigma often associated with it. She emphasised that such personal narratives help young audiences connect with the realities of the disease, encouraging them to adopt preventive measures and develop empathy toward affected individuals.

Principal Dr Anurita Saxena motivated the students with her encouraging words, while RRC Convener Dr Luxmi Sindhu proposed the vote of thanks. The event also included the felicitation of various student prize winners from earlier RRC activities conducted in the college.
