Course Name Course Outcomes
Problem Solving Using Computer COMP101TH
This course is designed to familiarize the students with the basics of computer. They will understand the basic concepts of program development, algorithms and flowcharts and solve problems using computer by developing programs and softwares in Python.
Office Automation Tools COMP102TH
The students will be able to use Office Suite to prepare presentations, prepare documents/reports. They will also be able to analyze and present data using spreadsheets.
Computer System Architecture COMP201TH
The students will understand the basics of digital electronics and be able to explain the working of sequential and combinational circuits. They will know the design and organization of a basic computer and data transfers and be able to perform arithmetic operations on different number systems. They will be able to explain the working of CPU, processor structure and operation.
Database Management System COMP202TH
To understand the concept and importance of database and the architecture of a DBMS. They will be able to recognize entities, relationships and perform ER modeling. They will be able to work on relational data model and other data models to design and normalize a database.
PHP Programming COMP203TH
The students will learn about different tools and softwares for programming in PHP .They will make use of different operators, functions and arrays to handle html forms with PHP script. They will also be able to analyze and solve various database tasks using the PHP language and solve common Web application tasks by writing PHP programs, handle strings and regular expressions.
Computer Networks COMP204TH
The students will understand the basic networking concepts and its types, OSI and TCP/IP models of computer networking and learn their practical application. They will be able to make use of different networking devices and networking applications.
Operating System COMP301TH
To understand different types of operating systems and functions of operating systems. They will know how processes are managed in OS, about memory management, scheduling concepts and implementation of memory management policies and virtual memory. They will also be able to implement shell scripting using Linux OS
Software Engineering COMP303TH
To understand different software development models, gather software requirements and prepare documents, understand software design principles and its concepts. They will be able to analyze different cost estimation techniques, understand SCM and SPM, different types of testing techniques and know about trends in software engineering.
Web Technologies COMP304TH
The students will gain knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery and Bootstrap. They will be able to design webpages using these thechnologies.
Multimedia and its Applications COMP307TH
The students will understand the concepts of Multimedia and its applications. Applying the concepts of font, text and and hypermedia in designing a multimedia application. Understand the concepts of sound, audio and video and apply these concepts in practical applications of multimedia Creating multimedia applications and using animation techniques.
