The subject of journalism and Mass Communication was introduced in the colleges of H.P in the year 2009.as a self financing course upto Advance Diploma. however seeing the ever-growing popularity of the subject it became a full fledged subject of graduation. It is said ‘to be informed is to be empowered ‘and Media studies does exactly that, when knowledge is combined with skill development students are trained in theoretical and practical work in such a way that they are mentally and physically prepared to take on the hectic jobs available to them in media and its related fields thereafter The Institute not only encourages them but also helps students with their internship and job placements.

With the result many find employment during and also right after graduation. Many clear entrance exams in prestigious institutions and pursue higher studies and find placements in media outlets. Media is also known as the ‘fourth pillar of our Constitution’as the power of Media is far reaching and has many repercussions we try to inculcate the essentials of ethics so that students become responsible citizens, journalists, and media personnel.
