The department of Psychology, Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalay, offers its students a wide spectrum of knowledge, including a variety of courses providing contemporary information on topics of daily living. One of these topics being mental health, which not only equips the students with the skills to aid people with poor mental health but also in living a mentally and physically healthy life. This knowledge develops skills in the students so that they become successful mental health professionals in educational institutions, hospitals and multinational companies.
The department focuses on a holistic approach providing not only theoretical but practical knowledge to the students through audio-visual aids and is offering B.A under the choice based credit system (CBCS) which comprises of Discipline Specific Core (DSC), elective courses (DSE) and Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC).
The knowledge gained by the students is examined by providing them the opportunity to participate in classroom presentations, regular assignments and tests. The department also has a well-equipped laboratory to help the students understand the practical aspect of the subject.
