Keeping the mission and vision in view, we at RKMV focuses on holistic development of our students providing them opportunities to enhance and improvise their skills and abilities, thereby making them better fit in an interconnected, diverse and fast changing world.
Initiatives taken by the institution towards Capacity Building and Skill Enhancement
Apart from equipping students with the knowledge and hard skill, Soft skills development is an integral part of our curriculum. Through soft skills training programmes students are trained to establish a good interpersonal and leadership skills such as decision making, team-work, collaboration and time management etc. Students are motivated to participate in various activities organized by various clubs and societies throughout the session providing them the platform to hone and exhibit their skills. Guest lectures on developing soft skills are also organized from time to time.
To enable our students to attain fluency and proficiency in communication the college has a Langugage lab comprising of 60 systems with required accessories and soft ware. It enables students to improve their communicative and grammatical competence through self- instructional, multimedia and language learning soft wares (both English and Hindi). Also, Ability Enhancement Courses in Languages are part of a regular curriculum.
Training programmes on Yoga and meditation are regularly organized for students and teachers from time to time. Trained Yoga instructors are invited to provide training to students and teachers. Also, the college is having a well equipped Gymnasium where young girls can do the workout to maintain their physical fitness. Free medical/Health Check-ups are provided to the students and staff of the college from time to time. Being a girls institution, programmes on Nutrition, menstrual hygiene and other issues related to girls form a regular feature of the institution.
To optimize the learning experiences of students and to make teaching process more engaging and effective RKMV augments conventional class room teaching with ICT enabled teaching. An environment of digital teaching and learning is provided by the institution to its faculty and students. The college has Wi-Fi enabled departments, six smart class rooms and a Video conferencing room. To facilitate ICT enabled teaching college is well equipped with IT Lab, BCA Lab, Language Lab, E-Commerce Lab with almost 126 Computer systems. In total the college has 199 computer Systems for students and staff. The college has 13 multimedia projectors, five smart teaching devices, five portable K-YANs (multimedia ICT devices), and three interactive panels. Also courses related to Computer and technologies are a part of the curriculum.
