Orientation Programme & Road Safety Pledge Ceremony 23rd July 2026
The Road Safety Club, Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV), Shimla successfully organized an Orientation Programme and Road Safety Pledge Ceremony on 23rd July 2026.
The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 150 students, reflecting their commitment to promoting road safety and responsible citizenship.
The orientation programme aimed to familiarize students with the objectives and activities of the Road Safety Club while creating awareness about responsible road behaviour, traffic rules, pedestrian safety, and safe driving practices. The session emphasized the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, avoiding the use of mobile phones while driving, adhering to speed limits, and following traffic regulations to reduce road accidents.
The highlight of the event was the Road Safety Pledge which was administered by Dean of Sciences, Prof.KSM Chauhan during which all participants pledged to obey traffic rules, practice safe road behaviour, and spread awareness among their families, friends, and the wider community.
