She encouraged students to actively participate in blood donation camps, health awareness drives, and other community service activities planned for the session 2026-27.
Following the Induction, a special lecture on "MANSA – Ek Sankalp" was delivered by Ms. Bindu Joshi, who is a member of Nasha Nivaran Board and also an author, researcher and psychotherapist. She spoke extensively on emotional knowledge and its role in prevention of addiction. She emphasized the crucial role of young women in combating narcotics and substance abuse in society. She explained how unaddressed emotional pain, stress, and unheard emotions can often lead individuals towards addiction. She also urged students to develop emotional resilience, practice empathy, and create supportive peer networks to help those in need.
An oath on Nasha Nivaran was also administered to all the participants and faculty members. Everyone pledged to stay emotionally strong, reject substance abuse, and also spread awareness and work towards a drug-free society. Around 115 students participated in the event.
The programme concluded on an inspiring note and successfully reinforced the importance of emotional well-being, social responsibility, and collective efforts in building an aware, healthy, and responsible society.
