Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya in collaboration with Goonj NGO, organised a one-day workshop on the Daan Utsav Initiative and Sustainable Contribution to Society.

The workshop aimed to sensitize students towards community service, responsible citizenship and meaningful social contribution.

The workshop focused on the importance of “giving with dignity”, reducing wastage and extending support to underserved communities through sustainable and dignified practices.

The session was addressed by Ms. Khusboo, Mr. Abhishek and Mr. P.K. Ahluwalia from Goonj. They interacted with the participants and explained the philosophy and working methodology of the organization. Their presentations inspired the students to adopt the principles of sharing, caring, recycling, reusing and responsible citizenship in their daily lives.

Principal Dr. Anurita Saxena, while acknowledging the efforts of Goonj NGO, highlighted the various sustainable and socially responsible initiatives undertaken by RKMV and emphasised the college’s commitment to community welfare. She assured the representatives of Goonj that the college would actively contribute to the Daan Utsav initiative of the NGO, scheduled to be organised during the second week of October.

She also encouraged students to participate enthusiastically and contribute towards building a more compassionate, inclusive and sustainable society.
